FAQ

FINAL CAMERA READY PAPER

Q. How to upload the final manuscript in EasyChair?
A. Login to EasyChair as Author and click on the "Proceedings" Tab.

Q. How do I make sure my final pdf version of the manuscript has all the fonts embedded in it?
A.

Open the PDF document with Adobe Acrobat, select "File" -> "Document Properties ..." (in some versions "Properties ...") and select the "Fonts" item. This will list all the fonts in the document. Check the following:

  • All fonts are listed as "(Embedded Subset)"
  • All fonts are of type "Type 1", "Type 1C" or "TrueType"

For more details on how convert a latex or a MS word file to an acceptable pdf file visit the site http://ismir2005.ismir.net/pdf.html. If you use Times New Roman/Courier/Times Roman font, you should generate an acceptable pdf file. Nevertheless, it is a good idea to perform the check described in the previous para. If your file fails this test, it will NOT be published in IEEExplore.

Q. Where do I send the completed IEEE Copyright form?
A. You may either scan and e-mail it to NCC2010@tenet.res.in, or mail it to Prof. Balaji Srinivasan, Dept of Electrical Engineering, IITM, Chennai 600 036. It is essential that you complete it for your paper to appear in IEEExplore.
Q. How do I make sure my paper appears in IEEExplore after the conference is over?
A.

You have to do the following strictly:

  • make sure your final pdf file has embedded fonts as described before
  • make sure you have sent a duly filled (Names of Authors, Title of the paper, Name of the Conference) and signed copyright form
  • register and pay the fees before the registration deadline
  • most importantly, be present personally (as one of the authors) and present your paper at the conference. Please note that mere registration and paying of fees will not take your paper to IEEExplore. Only authors should present their papers and not ask some one else to present.

Using the National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) feature that is now available in a large number of banks is another way of paying the conference registration fee. The transfer takes place instantaneously, saves you the trouble of mailing and costs just about rupees ten, a lot less than the conventional demand draft.

The conference maintains its account in the Canara Bank, IIT Madras, Chennai 600 036 branch with account number 2722-201-000-201. The IFSC code for the branch is CNRB-000-2722. After you effect the transfer, please include the details such as the name of bank, branch and the date of transfer in the registration site. This will help us trace in case of any problem.
